The Statutes were originally adopted at the Constituent Congress held in Oslo, September 5th-11th, 1949, where the Association was formally established. They were subsequently amended in 1970 at the meeting of the ISA Council at Varna, 1974 at Toronto, 1978 at Uppsala, 1982 at Mexico City and 1986 at New Delhi. This text, incorporating previous amendments and the principles upon which the Association has been grounded since 1949, was adopted by the ISA Council in Gävle (Sweden), August 1993. The Asia Pacific Sociological Association (APSA) is mainly engaged in the scholars of higher education institutions (universities, graduate schools and research institutes) that conducts education and research in the Asia-Pacific region or conducts research and education for the region as well as independent researches.  It is aimed to share the academic achievements, academic information exchange, and training of young researchers.

The APSA prides itself in the fact that its membership reflects the diversity of cultures, nations, ethnicities, and perspectives from across the Asia Pacific region. Its executive committee is constructed to reflect this diversity.

#. Asosiasi Prodi Sosiologi Seluruh Indonesia https://portalapssi.id/

Asosiasi Program Studi Sosiologi Indonesia (APSSI) merupakan organisasi resmi bagi program studi dan ilmuwan sosiologi seluruh perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Keanggotaan APSSI berdasar pada program studi yang mencakup seluruh staf pengajar di dalamnya. Saat ini ada 82 program studi sosiologi di seluruh perguruan tinggi baik negeri dan swasta. Selain prodi sosiologi, beberapa prodi yang memiliki rumpun sosiologi di beberapa perguruan tinggi juga menjadi bagian keanggotaan APSSI.

Sejak berdiri tahun 2012 APSSI membangun dan meningkatkan kualitas program studi sosiologi melalui pengembangan kurikulum dan metode pengajaran. Hal ini merupakan upaya APSSI mencetak SDM dengan keahlian bidang sosiologi seperti penelitian, analisa sosial, dan rekayasa sosial. Keahlian-keahlian yang bisa sangat dibutuhkan bagi pemerintahan, dan swasta.

Selain peningkatan kualitas prodi, APSSI melakukan riset terpublikasi, pemberdayaan masyarakat, konferensi nasional dan internasional, serta advokasi kebijakan melalui kerjasama dengan berbagai aktor strategis. APSSI juga akan terus berkembang sebagai mitra strategis seluruh aktor negara baik pemerintahan, swasta, dan komunitas sipil dalam mengelola perubahan sosial via portalappsi.id/about-us
